What is different about these lenses?

  

First, they are up to 38% flatter than ordinary lenses.  The flatter lens gives a slimmer profile and reduces the soda bottle effect associated with many lenses.  The lens also reduces the characteristic "bug-eyed" look caused by a bulge in the center of some lenses.

Second, these lenses are up to 27% thinner than ordinary lenses.  A thinner lens fits comfortably into today's smaller, thinner fashion frames.  The thinner edges enhance peripheral vision for the patient, long a complaint of people with high prescriptions.

A thinner lens significantly reduces the total weight of the glasses as well.  Kodak lenses are up to 30% lighter than ordinary lenses.  No more seemingly permanent indentation from nose pads on the noses of glasses wearers.

Created to complement the active lifestyle, the Chesterfield collection features casual, contemporary--and comfortable--eyewear for men, women and children.This all-American brand offers a wide variety of design options, targeted to adults with a young, relaxed attitude, and children and teens who seek to emulate them.New for 2006 -- Safilo introduces FLEXOLITE MEMORY METAL to the Chesterfield Ophthalmic, Sun and Kids collections.  Composed of 56% nickel and 44% titanium, this specific blend of materials ensures that the frame is extremely flexible (and able to return to its original shape), but is also stable enough to be properly adjusted and fit securely.   In addition, frames made of Flexolite Memory Metal are resistant to corrosion and fatigue.  The Chesterfield Ophthalmic collection features clean lines in softer, geometric shapes.  Frame materials include plastic, metal and lightweight titanium.  Many styles feature spring hinges.  Select men's and children's styles include the innovative Flexolite bridge, which provides maximum flexibility and reduces breakage.  Clip-ons are available with some styles.  The Chesterfield Sun collection also features a variety of contemporary styles, including wraps and aviators.  All sun styles feature polarized lenses.
Giorgio Armani frames feature intricate and vintage Armani styling.  The frames are ultra light and highly flexible stainless steel design with multi directional nose pads for an accurate fit.  Armani frames have locking hinge screws that will not fall out and corrosion resistant finishes prevents tarnishing and discoloration.  The designs have rich, marbleized colors with protective coatings for a longer life.  Some frames have convenient sunclips are available.
